I’ve driven the recreation of the Targa circuit in rFactor, it feels like a Rally stage except without the pacenotes. It’s insane!

I’ve driven the actual track . With a Panda. Even that was truly insane. But you’ve seen that already...

I played iRacing back in 2011 on the “new” tire model (every 6-months it’s a “new” tire model, it seems), it really didn’t feel any different than rFactor / GTR2. I know people claim the laser scanning of tracks and “super accurate CAD models” make the game so much more advanced than any other sim, but honestly from what I drove it doesn’t feel any different.

Really it comes down to what you want to do, if you want to race 24/7 get iRacing, if you want to drive (almost) any car at (almost) any track while hanging out with people online get rFactor. The HistoriX mod (namely the late-60s / early-70s Trans Am cars) alone make rFactor amazing.

And now my wishing for an all-new Targa Florio just got more grim.
